According to the official description, the kitchen team relies on high-quality, regional ingredients and a seasonal orientation of the menu. At the same time, it is openly stated that the house also likes to look beyond its own plate, so that Bavarian classics and modern creations stand side by side. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/kulinarik-speisekarte/))
The everyday life of the inn is particularly strong in the practical offerings. The website presents the lunch specialties of the week, and there are menus, snack menus, wine lists, bar menus, and drink menus available as downloads. Those who do not want to eat on-site can also pre-order dishes for pick-up, with the order needing to be placed at least one hour before the pick-up time. This is complemented by the option of online table reservation, making the visit equally uncomplicated for spontaneous and planned stays. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/mittagsschmankerl/))
The ambiance outside is another important point for the search query restaurant Hotel Gasthof Höttl Deggendorf. The outdoor area is located directly at Luitpoldplatz, while the large beer garden in the courtyard offers a view of the tower of the Heilig-Grabkirche St. Peter and St. Paul. This is not an interchangeable restaurant backdrop, but a place with a strong city connection and a real Lower Bavarian feeling. Those who have breakfast in the morning benefit, according to the website, from quality products from the region and a wide selection that makes the start of the day pleasant and solid. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/))
The event page of the inn also shows that culinary experiences are repeatedly associated with a sense of experience. Among other things, the Hinterhof Festival, the Oktoberfest at Höttl, the New Year's Eve party, and the Reindl dinner on Saturday are mentioned. Such formats are interesting for guests who are looking for a lively inn with a program, not just a place to eat. That is exactly why the inn is suitable for both a quiet dinner and occasions where sociability, music, and a Bavarian menu come together. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/veranstaltungen/?utm_source=openai))
The great advantage for the search intention photos, info, and reviews is that the house clearly shows its gastronomic identity: cozy, regional, modern enough for comfortable processes, and still tradition-conscious. Those looking for a restaurant in a downtown location, reservable tables, to-go options, and a clear inn culture will find a coherent overall package here. This very mix makes Gasthof Höttl relevant for visitors, locals, and business travelers alike. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/kulinarik-speisekarte/))
Arrival, Parking, and Central Location in Deggendorf
The location of Hotel Gasthof Höttl Deggendorf is one of the biggest advantages of the house. The official website describes the hotel as an address directly in the city center and at the same time as a quiet retreat in the center of Deggendorf. The address at Luitpoldplatz makes it clear that you live or eat very close to the city, shops, and urban paths. For guests specifically looking for parking, access, or Germany, this combination of center and accessibility is crucial. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/anreise-und-parken/?utm_source=openai))
The arrival by car is described in detail. Those coming via the A3 or A92 take the Deggendorf interchange onto the A92 towards Deggendorf and take exit 25 Deggendorf Mitte. Deggendorf Mitte is also recommended from the B11. The route then leads via Neusiedler Straße, Hans-Krämer-Straße, and Veilchengasse to the house. This precise route description is a practical signal for all those who do not want to search long for a new location. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/anreise-und-parken/?utm_source=openai))
When it comes to parking, the house offers several realistic options. In front of the hotel, there are two reserved parking spaces for loading and unloading, the hotel garage costs 9 euros per night according to the current parking plan, and the underground garage Degg’s is also listed at 9 euros per night. Additionally, there are the underground garages Kulturviertel and Luitpold with their own rates. For travelers with bicycles, there is also a locked bicycle room with sockets directly at the bike rack, which is particularly useful for active guests and short vacationers. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/anreise-und-parken/?utm_source=openai))
Another advantage is the hotel plan. It shows the most important areas of the house at a glance: main entrance, restaurant, reception, conference room Luitpold, Salettl, beer garden, Radlstadl, as well as the distribution of spa, fitness, and conference rooms in the other areas of the house. Especially in a house with several building parts, this overview is enormously helpful because it improves orientation and makes paths within the complex comprehensible. Those arriving with luggage, family, or business appointments benefit directly from this. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/hotelplan/))
This mix of central location, clear directions, and well-solved parking situation makes Höttl interesting for different target groups. City travelers can quickly reach restaurants, shopping areas, and sights on foot, while business travelers and conference guests appreciate the reliable infrastructure. That is exactly why the house is not just a place to stay or eat, but a real practical contact point right in Deggendorf. Rooms for Celebrations, Conferences, and Small Groups
The rooms in Gasthof Höttl are deliberately designed differently to suit various occasions. The guest room & bar is a traditional Bavarian tavern in inn style for about 70 people. The Frieda-Höttl-Stub’n offers space for around 50 people in a quiet, elegant atmosphere. The Salettl is designed as an exclusive winter garden for about 40 people, while the Gartensalettl with a glass roof is also a cozy room for approximately 50 people. The König-Ludwig-Stüberl complements the offer with a smaller setting for about 30 people. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/raeumlichkeiten/?utm_source=openai))
These rooms are not just different seating areas but part of a clear concept where old and new are brought together. The website describes the design as a mix of character, coziness, and Bavarian tradition, which gives eating, drinking, and sitting together a special setting. For private celebrations, family meals, or smaller groups, this is valuable because not every occasion needs the same room size. The house can respond very flexibly without losing its style. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/raeumlichkeiten/?utm_source=openai))
For business travelers, the Business & Conference area is particularly relevant. The conference and group rooms, according to the website, range in size from about 35 to 65 square meters, are modernly equipped, fully air-conditioned, and offer space for up to 40 people. Among other things, the conference room Michael with around 65 square meters and space for up to 40 people, as well as the conference room Luitpold with around 35 square meters for about 20 people are mentioned. Projectors and screens are part of the equipment, which simplifies the organization of training, seminars, and meetings. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/business-tagung/))
The conference packages are also clearly structured. There is a conference flat without overnight stay that includes room rental, coffee breaks, lunch, and conference drinks, as well as a conference flat with overnight stay, which additionally allows the use of the entire spa. A particularly strong advantage is that the conference room is provided free of charge in connection with a room booking. This makes the house particularly interesting for companies, teams, and training sessions that appreciate central location, comfort, and predictable costs. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/business-tagung/))
In total, several levels of use arise: from a small meal in the Stüberl to a family celebration to a structured seminar with technology and overnight stay. The hotel plan also shows how the rooms are distributed in the main house and in the annex, so that everything remains comprehensible organizationally. This mix of tavern, winter garden, conference room, and city hotel makes Höttl a versatile address for Deggendorf. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/hotelplan/))
Sky Pool, Sauna World, and Wellness at Höttl
The wellness area is a central distinguishing feature of Hotel Gasthof Höttl Deggendorf. The official website describes Höttl’s spa as a mix of pool, sauna world, relaxation oases, and fitness. This positions the house not only as a classic inn but as a city spa hotel right in the city center. For guests looking for spa, sky pool, or wellness, this is an important signal: here, a city trip can be combined with real relaxation. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/spa/?utm_source=openai))
The sky pool is the most striking element. It is located high above the rooftops of the city and is heated. Mentioned are a double-flow counter-current system, massage jets, air bubble benches, a water temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, two relaxation rooms, and a refreshment bar. This equipment makes it clear that the pool is not just decorative but has been planned as a full-fledged place for relaxation. Those seeking tranquility receive a very clear wellness presentation with a view over Deggendorf. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/spa/sky-pool-und-ruhezonen/?utm_source=openai))
The spa offerings also include the sauna world, massage, beauty & styling, as well as day spa and night spa. The website describes day wellness offers, where the sun terrace above the rooftops of Deggendorf can also be used. This is particularly interesting for short vacations, couples, or girls' getaways because a compact stay can be combined with plenty of relaxation. The various packages also show that wellness here is not seen as an addition but as a real part of the overall concept. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/day-spa/?utm_source=openai))
This is complemented by the fitness room with modern equipment such as treadmill, cross trainer, speed bike, weight bar, and multi-functional strength station. The hotel guide A-Z also points out that children under 12 years may only enter the spa area and the sky pool when accompanied by an adult. These details are valuable for practical planning because they clearly structure the wellness experience and show that the house focuses on tranquility, quality, and orderly use. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/spa/?utm_source=openai))
Especially in connection with the city center location, a rare mix arises: you are right in the middle and yet shielded enough to really relax. This explains why the house is interesting not only for restaurant or hotel inquiries but also for users specifically looking for a spa in Deggendorf, a day spa, or a small break with a sky pool. Here, city life, comfort, and tranquility come together in a small space. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/spa/?utm_source=openai))
History, Tradition, and Events at Höttl
The history of Hotel Gasthof Höttl Deggendorf is a crucial part of its identity. According to the official chronicle, the house has been mentioned since the Middle Ages; a mention in tax records and old protocols is documented for the year 1363. Later, owners and uses changed several times, including wine hosts, a time as a wine tavern, and various families. This long line shows that the house is not just a new building but a place that has grown over centuries with historical depth. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/tradition-gastgeber/?utm_source=openai))
An important date is 1875, when Josef and Fanny Höttl took over the inn, thus founding the family tradition that still exists today. The chronicle also mentions June 16, 1914, when King Ludwig III announced his visit to Deggendorf and was to have a soup in the then inn for the King of Bavaria. Such events make it clear that the house has played a role not only locally but also culturally historically. The official anniversary page also recalls 150 years of Höttl and the festive character of the year 2025. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/tradition-gastgeber/?utm_source=openai))
Today, the house is run by the Ebner family in the fourth generation; since 2009, Alexander Ebner has been managing the operation. The website describes Höttl as a traditional house that has developed into a modern city spa hotel through extensive renovations and extensions. This development is important because it explains why the operation appears both historically and contemporarily. Here, you not only get old history but a house that consciously transfers tradition into the present. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/hotel/tradition-gastgeber/?utm_source=openai))
As an event venue, Höttl also remains active. The website features regular events such as the Hinterhof Festival, Oktoberfest at Höttl, New Year's Eve party, and Reindl dinner. Together with the daily opening hours from 07:00 to 01:00 for the inn and reception, this creates an image of a very present house that functions in everyday life as well as on special occasions. For Deggendorf, Höttl is thus not just a hotel or restaurant but a fixed presence in city life. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/gasthof/veranstaltungen/?utm_source=openai))
In the end, those looking for photos, info, reviews, parking, conferences, spa, or history will find a location that credibly unites all these topics. This is exactly what makes the SEO value of the house: the search intention is answered not with advertising language but with real details. Höttl offers Bavarian cuisine, central location, good accessibility, diverse rooms, and a surprisingly strong wellness area. This creates a rare combination of tradition, functionality, and experience. ([hoettl.de](https://www.hoettl.de/))

This hotel is a real gem hidden behind its inconspicuous facade. The wellness area is very discreet, well-equipped with plenty of comfortable space to relax and enjoy treats. The breakfast was also outstanding.

Any team is only as strong as its weakest link, and I experienced this when checking out today. A wonderful stay with amazing food and service last evening! I was really impressed and had decided to return on my next visit. Then I went to reception. I was polite and courteous and was given a monotone response “Firma” - nothing else - when I said I was on personal booking “Address” was the demand. I was so taken aback by her demeanor that I asked if anything was okay. The response shocked me. It was too early for her. It was after 8am. Her colleague appeared to agree with her. It's a pity she showed how a limited interaction with a guest can erase all the amazing work of the team because she couldn't be bothered to provide the minimum service. Room 104 if you need to investigate.

Beautiful place, great service, amazing location. Parking is a bit tricky and the mattress was not great for me, but that's personal preference - not the hotel's fault. Highly rate this place!

We only ate at the restaurant, we were looking for Schmarrn, and they happened to be the only ones serving. It was absolutely great. Really nice presentation and good taste. A little on the pricey side, but very much worth it!
