Community Center Fischerdorf | Events & Directions

The Community Center Fischerdorf is a place where neighborhood life, club work, and public discussions converge in Deggendorf. Those looking for photos, the exact address, directions, or practical tips will quickly find a place with a clear function: Meetings, information evenings, and local events that directly affect the Fischerdorf district take place here. The official use shows that the community center is not just a building, but a meeting point for citizens, clubs, and municipal topics. Additionally, there is the urban context: After the flood in 2013, a new social center was created in Fischerdorf, where the municipal community center plays an important role. Historically, the district is also closely connected to Deggendorf, as Fischerdorf was mentioned as early as the Middle Ages and was incorporated in 1972. Thus, the location connects the present, neighborhood, and history in a compact space. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/averanstaltungen/ob-vor-ort))

Photos, Address, and Location of the Community Center Fischerdorf

The most important orientation for seekers is the exact address: Unterer Sommerfeldweg 7, 94469 Deggendorf. This information can be found on the current municipal event pages when the community center is mentioned as a location for events. For the search for photos, it is particularly relevant that the city of Deggendorf visually incorporates the community center in several posts and shows the place in different event contexts. These include the information format OB vor Ort, the neighborhood assembly for Fischerdorf, and the inclusion afternoon in June 2026. Therefore, anyone wanting to get a picture of how the community center is perceived in the public life of the district will find it most easily through the official event pages and city news. The location in the Fischerdorf district is no coincidence: Fischerdorf was originally a settlement of fishermen on the opposite bank of the Danube from Deggendorf, was first mentioned in 1271, and developed over centuries into an independent district with its own history. Today, the community center is a visible building block of this development. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/averanstaltungen/ob-vor-ort))

The name Fischerdorf also immediately evokes a search interest in many people that goes beyond the mere building. Those looking for photos usually want to understand how the place feels, what environment it is in, and what role it plays in Deggendorf. This is where the municipal publications help: The community center regularly appears as a venue for citizen-oriented formats, making its surroundings visible as well. The area was rethought after the flood in 2013, which is why the community center is now part of a modern social center that was created alongside other new buildings. This interplay of infrastructure, district history, and public use makes the location particularly relevant for local search queries. For SEO, this mix is important: Address, images, district reference, and current events answer different user intentions, even though they all target the same place. Events, Neighborhood Assembly, and Public Meeting Point

The Community Center Fischerdorf is particularly interesting as a venue for events. The city of Deggendorf uses it for neighborhood assemblies, which are formats where citizens can engage directly with the city administration. For example, a neighborhood assembly for Fischerdorf took place there on February 29, 2024, and another neighborhood assembly in the community center is already announced for 2026. Additionally, there is the format OB vor Ort, which in 2024 explicitly addressed flood protection measures. This use clearly shows that the community center is not an isolated club room, but a municipal meeting point with a public function. This is especially important for seekers because many typical questions arise from it: When are there events, what does participation look like, and what topics are discussed in the district? The community center answers these questions at the local level. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/averanstaltungen/ob-vor-ort))

At the same time, the community center is also used for social and community events. In June 2026, the Colorful Afternoon Part 3 with live music, dance, contributions from Pamoja, line dance, and musical entertainment by Lukas Burian is planned there. Additionally, Lebenshilfe Deggendorf provided a buffet. Such formats show that the building offers a versatile stage for encounters and is not only intended for purely formal meetings. Even the symbolic use during Earth Night 2023 is noteworthy: For one night, the lights at the Community Center Fischerdorf were turned off to send a message against light pollution. There is also another public function that is often overlooked: The community center is listed as polling district 26 in municipal documents. This makes the place democratically relevant and part of the city's election infrastructure. This mix of citizen dialogue, social programs, climate protection symbolism, and election function makes the community center a true focal point of the district. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/veranstaltungen/event/event-wir-lieben-inklusion?utm_source=openai))

Parking, Directions, and Accessibility

When it comes to directions, it is important that the official city pages at least mention a clearly designated accessible parking space: Unterer Sommerfeldweg 10, Community Center Fischerdorf. This is a valuable tip for visitors with mobility restrictions. Those traveling by public or shared transport can also use the call taxi service of the city of Deggendorf. In the AST system, the stops Fischerdorf / Siedlung, Fischerdorf / Donaustraße, and Fischerdorf / Mirfanger are listed for Fischerdorf. The taxi operates on behalf of the city of Deggendorf to all destinations in the city area and brings passengers right to the doorstep of their destination, provided the ride is booked in advance. For a community center in a district like Fischerdorf, this is a practical advantage, as it also allows for evening appointments and event times to be well covered. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/leben/menschen-mit-behinderungen/behindertenparkplaetze?utm_source=openai))

Furthermore, the city's event pages show that the area around the community center is officially marked with the keyword directions, meaning it is explicitly intended as a visitable place in the municipal external presentation. Although not every event has its own parking spaces listed in detail on the public pages, the combination of accessible parking space, AST connection, and central location in the district makes orientation easier. Those arriving by car should therefore refer to the current event notices; those without their own vehicle can rely on the city's AST. For local SEO, this mix of parking, public transport alternatives, and accessible access is particularly relevant, as many search queries concern not only the address but also the specific accessibility. The Community Center Fischerdorf meets this expectation with good municipal integration and a clearly defined mobility offer. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/averanstaltungen/ob-vor-ort))

Summer Curling Rinks, Equipment, and Special Features

One of the most interesting features of the Community Center Fischerdorf is its architectural orientation. In 2015, the city council discussed the construction of a joint community center with two closed summer curling rinks at Unterer Sommerfeldweg 7. This is a strong feature as it positions the place as sports and club-related infrastructure beyond a classic meeting room. Summer curling rinks are a typical element of regional club culture and make it clear that the building is intended not only for lectures or meetings but also for social and sporting club activities. This is an important detail for local target groups as it precisely describes the character of the location: communal, down-to-earth, and focused on use by the club and the neighborhood. The official designation as a joint community center also emphasizes that multiple actors should benefit from the construction. ([buergerinfo.deggendorf.de](https://buergerinfo.deggendorf.de/si0057.asp?__ksinr=790&utm_source=openai))

For practical use, this architectural structure means that the community center can accommodate different formats. A joint community center with closed rinks is usually more flexible than a pure event space, as it can consolidate meetings, small celebrations, club evenings, and sports-related offerings in one building. Even though no detailed capacity is published on the public city pages, the intended use is clearly recognizable: The building is meant to be a common point of contact. The municipal event pages confirm that the place works for citizen-oriented discussions and social events, while the construction documents reveal the sporting-commercial basic idea. This combination makes the location strong for SEO: It is not interchangeable but has a distinct profile. So, anyone looking for a community center with real function, summer curling rinks, or a location for neighborhood life will find in Fischerdorf a place that credibly brings these terms together. ([buergerinfo.deggendorf.de](https://buergerinfo.deggendorf.de/si0057.asp?__ksinr=790&utm_source=openai))

Fischerdorf, Floods, and the Role in the New Social Center

The historical embedding is particularly important for understanding the community center. Fischerdorf was first mentioned in 1271, administratively separated from Deggendorf in 1429, and re-incorporated on July 1, 1972. Thus, the district has a long, independent development that remains visible in its character to this day. In the city's historical presentation, Fischerdorf is described as a settlement of Deggendorf fishermen on the opposite bank of the Danube; this origin also explains the special connection to water and the Danube. This is especially relevant because the modern development of the district has been strongly shaped by the flood in 2013. In the architect's documentation for the new construction of the daycare center, it is explicitly stated that the building is oriented south towards the new social center of Fischerdorf, which also includes the new buildings of the municipal community center and the mosque. This classification is important because it shows that the community center was not created in isolation but is part of a consciously reorganized district center. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/leben/stadtteile/fischerdorf/fischerdorf-geschichte))

Through this history, the Community Center Fischerdorf gains a special role. It stands not only for a place of club life but also for the reconstruction and social stabilization of a district that was severely affected by the flood disaster in 2013. That the city is discussing flood protection measures there in 2024 and is planning neighborhood assemblies again in 2026 fits perfectly into this picture: The community center is a place where the past, present, and future of the district are negotiated. For visitors interested in photos, history, or the significance of the building, this is the actual answer: The building is visible, functional, and symbolic at the same time. It serves as a meeting point for citizen engagement, a stage for local issues, and an anchor in the new social center of Fischerdorf. Thus, the community center is much more than just an address on a map; it is a piece of lived neighborhood identity in Deggendorf. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/averanstaltungen/ob-vor-ort))

Therefore, anyone visiting the Community Center Fischerdorf experiences not only an event venue but also a place with a comprehensible history and current function. The combination of public use, accessible access, summer curling rinks, and municipal significance makes the building one of the clearly recognizable points of contact in the Fischerdorf district. For all those looking for current dates, images, directions, or background information, the official city communication is the most reliable source. It presents the community center as part of a vibrant district that knows its past and actively shapes its present. ([deggendorf.de](https://www.deggendorf.de/averanstaltungen/ob-vor-ort))

Best currywurst in Deggendorf and the surrounding area. The sausage is slightly spicy but not too hot, so everyone can enjoy it. In Bavarian: Enjoy your meal! Go ahead and try the currywurst!

I've celebrated a birthday here twice already and was more than satisfied. The staff are very open and friendly. I've also organized a larger company party here, and the clubhouse was really supportive. I can only recommend it; if you're looking for a beautiful location near Deggendorf and value a reliable, flexible partner, this is the place to be. I'd be happy to come back!
