Conversations About Life – Between the Shelves: Time for the Big Questions
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Deggendorf City Library invites you to a special event experience. Between books and shelves, space is created for personal thoughts, new perspectives, and an open exchange about what shapes our lives.
Happiness, Love, and the Meaning of Life
What makes a good life? What does happiness mean – and what role does love play? These central life questions are at the heart of the discussion round. Impulses and personal experiences form the starting point for a shared reflection.
Open Exchange in a Special Atmosphere
The city library creates a focused ambiance for meeting and conversation with its calm environment. The audience's atmosphere thrives on respectful exchange: Different viewpoints are given space, while the moderation guides through the afternoon.
With Moderator Sylvia Kiermayer
Moderator Sylvia Kiermayer accompanies the round and gives structure to the conversation. Prior knowledge is not required. The focus is not on finished answers but on personal thoughts, attentive listening, and new impulses for everyday life.
Cooperation with KDFB and KEB
The event takes place in cooperation with KDFB and KEB. This format connects cultural encounters, educational work, and personal reflection – targeting all those who wish to take time for essential questions and inspiring exchange.
Conclusion: An Afternoon for New Thoughts
Visitors can expect a calm, stimulating discussion round with a personal atmosphere and topics that touch everyone. Those who want to view happiness, love, and the meaning of life from new perspectives will experience a special afternoon between the shelves at the Deggendorf City Library.
