DEGDEV 2026: 24 hours, one idea and your own game
In Deggendorf, playable code will emerge from creative ideas from October 23 to 24, 2026. At the 3rd Deggendorf Game Jam – DEGDEV, gaming fans, programming enthusiasts, and curious newcomers will develop their own game within around 24 hours. Participation is possible individually or in teams of up to six people.

The starting signal will be given on Friday at 2:00 PM at ITC1 Deggendorf. After arrival and setting up workstations, there will be a welcome and keynote by Prof. Daniel Volk from Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences. The theme of this year's GameJam will also be announced – the creative impulse for a night full of ideas, coding, and game design.
Game development with a sprint atmosphere
The event planning focuses on a varied sprint format: multiple development phases, collaborative testing, and concentrated work time will alternate with pizza, breakfast, and a night fitness session.
